Knead the chalk ball between your hands until your palms and fingers are evenly covered, then tap off any excess chalk. Store the ball in a chalk bag or container to keep your training area clean.

Tip for wooden equipment: Wipe any remaining chalk off your gymnastics rings, hangboard, etc., with a dry cloth after training to keep the surface pleasantly grippy.
